Cara & Ben

Private Marquee, North Wales

Cara and Ben’s wedding was not only a celebration but also a huge thank you to the family and friends who had supported them through a difficult period in their lives and they decided they wanted a party unlike any other! Music to our ears!!

Having recently moved into a spectacular home with a stunning garden we had the perfect venue right on our doorstep (literally), with plenty of space for a fabulous marquee and all that goes with it!

The look was really important to Cara and we settled on a colour scheme of rich midnight blue, blush pink with rose gold accents and a theme of Enchanted Woodland, to reflect the setting, so we knew trees would be featuring as well as some of the more unusual inhabitants of the garden, such as Elvis the Rhino!

Cara and Ben wanted to really make their son Alfie feel involved in the day and it was important to them that he too should have fun with his friends, so we created his own special area, complete with tipi’s, milkshake bar, sausage station and lots of entertainment.

Guests were treated to some amazing canapés including a seafood station, complete with bespoke carved ice-bar featuring the Welsh Dragon and English Lion (to reflect Ben and Cara’s nationalities) plus a teppanyaki station complete with chef to entertain guests during the drinks reception. Later friends and family enjoyed a beautiful meal complete with scented dry ice as a highlight of the dessert. Drinks were plentiful and free flowing and included a range of bespoke cocktails designed to wow the guests, which they certainly did.

Now you can’t plan a wedding like this without providing some sensational entertainment and we pulled out all the stops to provide them and their guests a day they would never forget. To just give you just a taste, we had a Welsh Male Voice group to sing at church, alongside a classically trained soloist and a gypsy-style band to play during drinks reception. We also had a surprise for the groom during this time, with a fantastic air acrobatic display that brought local roads to a standstill!

During dinner we had a singer who not only had them up and dancing on their chairs but also moved them to tears as he sang a special song to Cara’s grandma!

After dinner we wanted to get in to the party feel and had a glitter station open and a cool Ibiza set, to remind the bride of the fun she had, had on her Hen do! Also our photo booth opened, hidden away in the fairy lit enchanted woodland at the back of the marquee in its own little tipis, so cute!

The party was started with the traditional first dance, but with added confetti cannons, we then brought on the fabulous band who ensured the dance floor was jumping and before it got too late there was a fireworks display to rival London’s NYE! Guests continued to party into the small hours, whilst we made sure everyone got safely home!

And to nicely finish off the celebrations, the next day Ben, Cara and Alfie were joined by their nearest and dearest for a relaxed Hog Roast, with Ben wondering if he could actually just keep the marquee in his garden so he could party every weekend

What a fabulous wedding, we had lots of fun planning it with an array of amazing suppliers and we certainly made sure it was a wedding to remember!

“To My fairy godmother Andrea, Thank you for all of your hard work, patience and most of all kindness. You made our day one to remember, will miss you Cara & Ben”
